Camouflage

After my gecko passed from suffering from Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD), I buried her in my garden. [Camouflage] is a tribute to her life and the joy she brought me and my family. This piece highlights how she became one with nature by being buried in soil and the abilities of geckos to camouflage in nature. 

For [Camouflage], contrast was heavily emphasized by using empty space on flowers and leaves that opposed to the heavier background. The organisms were outlined using pressure lines and were filled with hatching strokes.
