Living in the monochrome landscape of Seoul, dominated by grey high-rise buildings and structured routines, the author felt confined and stifled. The lack of vibrant colors around them symbolized a lack of freedom and joy, leading to a sense of repression. In response, they turned to Cinque Terre, a colorful coastal town in Italy, as a source of inspiration. The vivid colors of the town's buildings represented liberation and creativity, contrasting with the dullness of their urban environment. By drawing Cinque Terre, the author sought to reconnect with individuality, expression, and the beauty of breaking free from conformity.
