In [Someplace in Japan], I wanted to capture the coexistence of nature and culture, a theme deeply rooted in traditional Japanese aesthetics, through a depiction of Mount Fuji, which towers magnificently in the background, symbolizing stability, strength, and timelessness. The old Japanese city in the foreground is rendered with attention to its wooden structures and narrow streets, evoking a sense of nostalgia and transporting the viewer to a time when life moved at a slower, more deliberate pace, intimately connected to the land. The calmness of the scene, balanced by the grandeur of Fuji, highlights the quiet dignity of living in harmony with nature.
